Pegaso SDI geoportal provides access to main components (Viewer, Catalog and Atlas) using a web browser. Besides this web access, there is a deeper infrastructure that makes possible to access Pegaso SDI using alternative, standardized ways. The purpose of this alternative access is promote the data sharing and usage, encouraging the construction of new services based on Pegaso services, or the integration of Pegaso services with desktop GIS applications.

This alternative access is based on standard protocols defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), following INSPIRE directive principles.
